WEDDING or PROM MAKEUP VIDEO TUTORIAL

After watching a few makeup tutorials by Kandeej on youtube, I learned how to do my own makeup for my wedding.
I didn't want to pay a makeup artist and possibly be disappointed later.
I practiced 2 or 3 times before the actual ceremony.<------- This is how it turned out...

MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT HOMEMADE SUSHI

Last week, I was browsing the web for examples of sushi because I wanted to make it at home.  Finally, I had convinced my hubby that sushi is yummy and does not have to be made with raw fish. Sooo, I ran across this awesome website. The guy who built the site is a real sushi chef and he started making videos of himself at work.

Here are my creations from last week.  It was a lot of fun and I got 2 thumbs up from the hubs, so I will be making sushi again soon, for sure!

"CHINA HAS MORE WOMEN IN GOVT THAN THE USA"

This short video has quite a bit of interesting information in it, including someone stating a statistic that China and Iraq have more women in government than the United States.  A friend of mine posted this on her Facebook page and wrote this: "Everyone should see this, especially women. Quit worrying about whether or not you're some mermaid or whale."

NO SEW TUTU SKIRT VIDEO TUTORIAL!

This is, by far, the best no sew tutu skirt tutorial that I have found on the internet!

I have been researching tutu skirts online because my daughter turns 1 later this month.  I needed a method to make it without sewing because I am temporarily living in Florence, Italy away from my sewing machine.  

I really like this girl's method for 3 reasons:

1.  The first comment under the youtube video is:  

"After watching your video I learned how to make a tutu..Started making them as gifts and now I have my own tutu business in 1 month..Thank u for your clear and detailed video<3"

2.  She uses ribbon instead of elastic for the waistband, so more comfy for my little one.

3.  She teaches you how to cut the tulle material extremely efficiently and quickly.

i joined pinterest about 1 week ago and already became addicted.  
it is a simple way to share ANYTHING!
here are my 5 reasons to join:

1. "Pin It" button (explained HERE on the pinterest site):  put this button in your browser's bookmark bar, go to the website you like, click the "pin it" button, click on the image you want to pin, and you are done!  you can even PIN VIDEOS!
2. a visual site (check it out HERE): it is great for people who love to learn visually and see pictures.  if you do not want to read the caption under each picture or "pin", then simply don't. ;)
3. simple concept and facebook linked:  you do not have to be a computer genius to use the site.  all of the dropdown menus are self-explanatory.  they even have a HELP feature installed.  it is also already linked to facebook and twitter.
4. easy privacy settings:  unlike facebook, the privacy settings are complete with ONE CLICK instead of being buried.  if you click on settings under the menu under your name, you can click the "visibility" box to prevent your profile from showing up on search engines (if you want to, that is.)
5. learn new stuff:  have learned a great deal of cool things about my friends and about how to organize/clean my house on a budget, make things from scratch for gifts/my house/family, cook great new recipes, think about new sayings, etc.
